Heart Failure Update is back for a third consecutive year!

Please join us at Le Centre Sheraton Hotel in Montreal from Thursday evening, June 2, to Saturday, June 4 for Heart Failure Update 2016: The Art and Science of Heart Failure Treatment.

Developed by the Canadian Heart Failure Society (CHFS), this third annual edition will feature engaging presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops by top national and international heart failure (HF) key opinion leaders.

Canadian cardiologists and internal medicine specialists, along with primary care physicians and nurse specialists treating heart failure patients will have the opportunity to exchange with leaders in their field and with colleagues from across Canada.

This year’s program will explore personalizing heart failure care – current approaches to optimizing care and achieving the best possible patient outcomes.

Heart failure experts will examine up-to-date clinical data, current recommendations and applications for a variety of heart failure management aspects.

2016 program highlights include:

  • Treating HF subgroups (diabetes, AF, hypertension)
  • Blood pressure targets and heart rate control
  • Practical approaches to patient care
  • Sleep-disordered breathing
  • Candidates for LVAD and novel valve therapies
  • Hospital readmissions: prevention and benchmarking
  • HF advocacy
  • Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) HF Guidelines Update
  • CANCARE (Critical Care Society) workshop
  • Nursing certification workshop

We look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones at this year’s meeting!
