Dr Lam’s clinical sub-specialty is heart failure and is recognized globally for expertise in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. She is a recipient of the NMRC Senior Investigator Clinician Scientist Award; Programme Lead of A*STaR’s Asian neTwork for Translational Research and Cardiovascular Trials (ATTRaCT), Principal Investigator of a multinational Asian study of heart failure across 11 Asian countries (Asian Sudden Cardiac Death in Heart Failure [ASIAN-HF]), Principal Investigator of a multinational investigator-led trial in diabetes (Asian Diabetes Outcomes Prevention Trial [ADOPT]),    member of Executive Committees on global heart failure trials as well as consultant on several global advisory boards for cardiovascular disease.  She has published >200 articles in journals including BMJ, NEJM, JAMA, Lancet, Circulation, and European Heart Journal. She serves as Associate Editor for Circulation and the European Journal of Heart Failure. Dr Lam was the Resident Doctor of the health programme “Body and Soul” by MediaCorp Singapore for 7 seasons and can be heard weekly on the worldwide podcast “Circulation On The Run”.
